Sally O'Briant Edwards

Mrs. Sally OBriant Edwards of Red Springs died Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Southeastern Hospice House at the age of 69. Mrs. Edwards was born in Robeson County July 8, 1944 to the late Henry G. OBriant, Sr. and Ethel Slate OBriant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert "Lum" Edwards and her son, Keith OBriant Edwards, her siblings, Roy OBriant, Grady OBriant, Mary Etta George, Johnny OBriant, Dennis OBriant, and Ophelia Joyner. Mrs. Edwards was an active member of Westside Baptist Church in Red Springs. She worked with Southeastern Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She is survived by a son Michael "Mike" Edwards (Vanessa) of Red Springs, Daughter Jennifer E. Ivey (London) of Hurdle Mills, her brother, Hervy OBriant of Pembroke, her sister, Edna OBriant McNeill of Fuquay Varina; 5 grandchildren Sarah, Steven, Caroline, Ransey, Emily and one great- granddaughter, Rebecca. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Westside Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Westside Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Locklear officiating. Burial will be in the Alloway Cemetery.
