Samuel Caban Colón

Samuel Caban Coln, 85 of Raeford, NC, died peacefully at his home on December 4th, 2019. He was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico, the youngest of 18 children. At an early age, he enlisted in the Army and trained at Fort Dix, NJ and was stationed in Panama. After his military service, he married Carmen Gloria Molina. They resided in NJ, where they raised five children. For 26 years, he was Safety Quality Assurance Foreman at S.B. Penick Company. He later retired from Fisher Scientific.He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Carmen Gloria. He is survived by his children: Pastor Carmen Coln-Brown, Marisol Scales, Angelina Drake, Samuel Coln, Jr. and Elizabeth Coln-Alves; his eight wonderful grandchildren and four beautiful great grandchildren.Visitation will be held at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford, NC on December 6th, 2019 from 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2pm at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church on Saturday December 7th, 2019.Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:Parkinson's Foundation 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131
