Mrs. Virginia West Williford died Thursday, October 7, 2010 in her home at the age of 87. Mrs. Williford was born in Marlboro County, SC on October 5, 1923 to the late James F. West and Beulah Miller West. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and retired from Burlington Industries in 1987. Mrs. Williford is preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene Smith and Sidney Williford and a son, Leonard Smith. Survivors include a son, Fred Smith and wife Jeannie of Raeford; two daughters: Barbara Hinson and husband Ronald of Wagram and Jacquelin Allen and husband Jerry of Raleigh; a brother, Bill West and wife Melva of Aberdeen, a sister, Mary Ann Barbee of Bennettsville, SC: 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Raeford Cemetery.
