Freddy Joseph Jack Sr. Niigani-quot-Makwa Dootem

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and good friend. Freddy had left us for the spirit world on January 3rd, 2012 at the Rainy River District Hospital

Freddy leaves to cherish his memories to Yvonne Jack and to his children Fred Jr. (Tammy), Steve (Kristol), Sandra, Caroline, Chris (Christa), Tina (Greywolf) and to his grandchildren Micaela, Jacob, Devon, Cassandra, Anthony, Danielle, Randall, Tyson, Riality, Courtney, Austin, Taylor, Rochelle, Tamika, Ashton, Kemper, and Harmony. Also his sisters/brothers Karen (Ernie), Dianne (Joe), Alvin Bird and his nieces and nephews, many cousins and closest friends. Freddy will be joining in the spirit world his parents Edward and Edith Jack, also his sisters Marilyn and Karilyn Jack.

Freddy was a good and noble man who loved to walk many paths with his moccasins, leading his traditional ways of enjoying life to the great outdoors in his activities in fishing, hunting and trapping. Also, being an active person he enjoyed playing hockey, baseball and golf very much and being the coach of the fastball team “The Lightning”. He coach the Lightning fastball team into winning 2 Rainy River District Fastball League Championships and many Tournaments. He will be deeply missed by his children, family, friends, and community.

A funeral wake will be held on Friday evening, January 6, 2012 from 3:oo p.m. at the Big Grassy First Nation Community Hall.

Elder Kenny Kakeway will offer his traditional services on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the morning at the Big Grassy Community Hall.

Honourary pallbearers are Joe Skead, Gamoose, Bouchard, Shoomug, Ernie, Stan Sr, Tom and Oozie. Active pallbearers are Alvin Bird, Ryan Jack, Bill Copenace Sr, Lionel Horton, Nathan Jack, Greywolf Skead.
