Roy Emanuel Pearson

Roy Emanuel Pearson age 76 of Rainy River Long Term Care, formerly of 102 First St. Rainy River, Ontario, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 15, 2011 with his family by his side.

Roy was born on February 27, 1935 in Bergland, Ontario to the late Rudolph and Lily Pearson. He was united in marriage to the former Marie Lecot on December 6, 1957 and together they raised their family. Roy will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Roy is survived by his wife, Marie Pearson of Rainy River, ON.; five children, Edward (Norma) of Bergland, ON., Glen of B.C., Sandra (Richard) of Fort Frances, ON., Ronald (Bernice) of Thunder Bay, ON., and Curt (Pam) of Rainy River, ON.; grandchildren, Jenna, Kyle, Brittany and Abigail Pearson; Clayton Lange; Cassandra, Nicholas, Chandler and Liam Pearson; four sisters, Ruth Halverson of Rainy River, ON., Gladys Jolicouer of Stratton, ON.; Elsa Miller of Morson, ON., and Shirley (Allan) Brown of Nestor Falls, ON.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Pearson, two sisters, Anna Olson and Alice Pentney; and five brother-in-laws, Gordon Pentney, Arnold Halvorson, Tom Jolicouer, Ivan Olson and Fred Miller

At Roy’s request, cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Bergland Cemetery in Bergland, Ontario with Lay Pastor Carolyn Kreger officiating.

The honourary pallbearers will be Roy’s sons and daughter.
