Alex Jonathan Flora Jr.

He is survived by his parents Alex “Butch” Flora and Lynn Frazelle Flora, brother James E. Flora and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Alex was born on August 16, 1989 in Raleigh, NC. He attended Wake County Schools and graduated from Leesville Road High School. He lived and worked in Augusta, Georgia for two years and then returned to Raleigh where he worked in various fields including, medical sales, IT customer service and air/water balancing. Along life’s way he was blessed to have made long-standing friendships that he treasured. His brother was his closest friend and confidant. Their most memorable adventure together was a trip to the Grand Canyon, and other parts of Arizona.

Alex enjoyed playing golf, fishing, camping, and spending time with his immediate and extended family on trips to the mountains and the coast. He was very close to both sets of grandparents who loved him dearly. Music was very spiritual to Alex. He had a passion for writing songs on guitar, piano, and through musical software; sharing and collaborating with his brother. Alex loved his dog ‘Bo’, and took pride training him from a pup to become the special dog ‘Bo’ is today.

Alex’s family will miss his hugs, his unselfish disposition, his smile, his twinkly blue eyes, and his loving and gentle spirit.
