

Ann Marie Trent Caddell, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on August 7, 2021 in Roanoke, Virginia. She was born in Reidsville, North Carolina, on April 21, 1933. She is preceded in death by her parents, Minnie Nance and Jesse Earle Trent, a son, Earl McDonald Caddell, and her loving husband of 60 years, William “Bill” Caddell, Jr.
Nee-Nee, as she was lovingly called, was the proud grandmother of Edward “Ward” P. Currin, Jr. and Ashleigh “Trent” Currin Dull and a great-grandmother to Madden Anne Currin of Richmond. Being “Nee-Nee” was the greatest joy of her life, and they are so thankful!
Ann is survived by William “Buz” Caddell, III (Katie) of Fuquay Varina; her daughter, Anne Trent Caddell Currin (Ed) of Roanoke, Virginia; grandchildren Ward Currin (Tucker) and Trent Currin Dull (Ben) and a great-granddaughter Madden Currin of Richmond, sister-in-law, Flo Hollister, brother in-law and sister in-law, Jim and Nancy Caddell, special nieces and nephews along with numerous cousins and friends.
The family wants to thank her devoted caregivers: Brenda St. Clair, Penny Simmons, Rosa Baker, Tanya McGuire, Katie Kingery and Gentle Shepard Hospice. Your love and kindness in caring for our Mother and Nee-Nee allowed her last years to be happy and comfortable, and we are so grateful!
A graveside service celebration of life will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 11 A.M. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Doctor Debbie Kirk.
