Ann was born to Lee Roy and Mary Elizabeth (Glass) McDonald in Carthage, NC. She attended Peace College for high school and college. Ann returned to Moore County to work at Pinehurst Inc. in the late 40’s an worked there for over 20 years. She then moved to Raleigh to work with the Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines.
During her life, she was an active member of First Presbyterian in Carthage, West Raleigh and Hudson Memorial Presbyterian churches. Ann enjoyed traveling with her son Mike, to exotic locations, but her favorite destination was Ocean Drive in Myrtle Beach.
Ann’s family would like to thank Ed & Nelda Cockman of West End, NC and Gail Frye of Pinehurst, NC for their unwavering love and support. Gratitude extends to Dr. James P Zidar and the staff at North Carolina Heart & Vascular for their compassionate and superior care.
She is survived by her nieces, Puckette Ann McDonald and Elizabeth Grey McDonald. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lee R McDonald Jr and her beloved son Michael Lee Camp.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Hudson Memorial Presbyterian Church.
