

Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She treated all she knew with dignity and respect. She was a strong woman of faith, who was very active in the Edenton Street United Methodist church, and was a member of both the church choir and the Francis Asbury Sunday school class, for many years. She lived her life unpretentiously, and always put other peoples’ needs before her own.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, William Thomas Ballard and Sue Carter Ballard, and by her husband, Samuel Jackson Lynch.
Ann is survived by her brother Bill and his wife Dee, of Charlotte, NC; brother Bob and his wife Sylvia, of Weddington, NC; brother-in-law John and his wife Gloria, of Wilmington, NC; sister-in-law Betty, of Raleigh, NC; daughter Becky, of St. Simons Island, GA; son Jack, and his wife Donna, of Raleigh, NC; son Mark, of Houston, TX; son David, of Denver, CO. She is also survived by her grandson Seth, of St. Simons Island, GA. and grandchildren Jackson and Sarah, of Raleigh, NC.
The family wishes to thank the second floor staff of The Heritage Of Raleigh, as well as the caregivers of Hospice of Wake County.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday November 10, 2012 , at Edenton Street United Methodist Church, Raleigh. Interment will occur in the ESUMC columbarium at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
