

Anne P. Seronka, 90, formerly of Lower Burrell, died Thursday, August 26, 2010, in Duke-Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh, N.C. She was born May 16, 1920, in Tarentum, to Lukacs and Mary (Mokry) Murar. She lived in Raleigh, NC for the past 4 years, prior to which she lived most of her life in Lower Burrell. She was employed as an assembly line worker at PPG Industries, Creighton, for 42 years. She was a former member St. Clement Church, Tarentum and Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1938.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Anne "Pat" Seronka and Phyllis (Ken Patterson, both of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Matthew (Sharon) Sgriccia, of Douglassville, PA, Cynthia (Mike) Feil, of Gibsonia, Stephanie Sgriccia, of Asheville, NC and Christopher Patterson, of Raleigh, N.C.; and 2 great granddaughters, Tiffany & Alexis Feil, one brother and one sister. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Seronka in 1991 and 5 brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends will be received Monday, August 30, 2010 from 4-8 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights, by Rev. Thomas W. Wagner, pastor of Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
