

Bethany was born in Huntsville, Alabama and moved to Raleigh at age 10. She graduated from Athens Drive High School where she participated in cross country and soccer. In high school she developed her passion for painting and won two statewide competitions. Later Bethany received her Associates Degree in Fine Arts from Brevard College, and also studied art at East Carolina University. Bethany also had a tremendous appreciation for music. She always thought of others and always shared what she had.
Bethany is survived by her parents, William and Wilma Stanley of Raleigh; siblings Wright Stanley of Raleigh, and Lisa S. Harhan, her husband Patrick, and their daughter, Rachel A. Harhan, all of Oak Hill, VA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elton and Hilda Stanley, and Howard and Elizabeth Turner, all of Columbia, TN.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC. A memorial service will be held in Columbia, TN through the Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home on Sunday, April 27.
