Bradley Bridger Gill, died Friday, September 6, in Goldsboro, NC. Though he left this world far too soon, he left it a better place. Born and raised in Raleigh, NC, Bridger is the son of Bradley Gearhart Gill and Anita Bridger Gill.
Bridger excelled in everything life brought him. His fondness for trains, trucks and cars started when he was a toddler. He played many sports in which his coaches and teammates valued his incredible talent. He worked out tirelessly at the gym and was in incredible shape. When he went to the beach or Kerr Lake, he always had a fishing pole in his hand. He spent many summers as a volunteer counselor at Camp Shalom, hiked on the Appalachian Trail and appreciated all things outdoors.
Bridger graduated from Broughton Senior High School in June of 2023 where he enjoyed automotive courses. He began an exciting career at Bridger Drilling where he distinguished himself by earning the role of Driller. Bridger impressed everyone with his positivity, kindness, ability to learn quickly and willingness to work hard. He also continued his passion for automobiles where you would often find him with his younger brother, his favorite person in the world, under the hood of many cars and trucks.
He was a dedicated member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church. He loved his youth group and enjoyed being an acolyte. Bridger had a smile and the best dimples that would light up a room. He adored his big family and his many friends.
Bridger is preceded in death by his treasured grandfathers, Frank Tyson Bridger and Jerry Earl Gill, Sr.
He is survived by his parents and beloved younger brother, Robert Allen Gill. He also leaves to cherish his memory his grandmothers, Lynda Strickland Bridger and Molly Lynn Gill. His aunts and uncles, Frank Tyson Bridger, Jr., Margaret Bridger White (Jim), George Craven Bridger (Sarah), Jerry Earl Gill, Jr. (Pandora), Brian Edwin Gill and his many cousins who will dearly miss him.
