

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Amygayle (James) Womble of Raleigh, NC, and sons, Charles James (Catherine) Law, III, of Williamsburg, VA, and Christopher Jerel (Liz) Law of Huntersville, NC. Her eight grandchildren are Philip (Rose) Womble, Katie Womble, Joseph Womble, Carter Law, Caleb Law, Bailey (Matt) Fisher, Christopher Law, and Luke Law. Her great granddaughter is Margo Camilla Womble, who bears her name.
Camilla grew up in Yanceyville, NC, and was active in the Yanceyville Methodist Church, where she was an organist throughout high school. She and Charles met at 4H Camp when she was 14 years old and married when she was 22. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts from Greensboro College in 1959 in Elementary Education and in addition to being a full time mom, was a teacher for a number of years. Camilla taught Sunday School and served on various committees as an active member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church for fifty years.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles James Law, Jr., her daughter-in-law, Susan Bailey Law, and her sister, Gayle Stuck Crumpton.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2 at 11:00am at Edenton Street United Methodist Church, 228 W. Edenton St. Raleigh, followed by a brief reception. Separately, a graveside service will be conducted on the same day at 3:00pm at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1900 US-158, Yanceyville, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Brown-Wynne, 300 Saint Mary's St., Raleigh, is serving the Law family. Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home will be assisting the family in Yanceyville, NC.
