We were all sad to hear of the passing of your mom.  She was one of the nicest persons we met through swimming, always keeping the competition in its proper perspective and making it fun for us when we were new to the sport. Jonathan, Caroline, Jean and Tim:  I am a better person for having known your mother.  When I was growing up she was alway full of fun and laughter. "Miss Chester" was my second grade teacher at Southern Pines Primary School. It was my first year in the public schools and it was glorious having her as my teacher. The Chesters were my neighbors and were the most wonderful family. I can still see her tooling around the neighborhood in her snazzy turquoise Chevy convertable.  I was thrilled to be able to attend her wedding that was held soon after my second grade year. She brought exciting musical opportunities gleaned from her two years of teaching overseas (Germany, as I recall). I decided at that tender age that I was going to be a teacher, just like Miss Chester.  I retired three years ago after thirty-four years in teaching. I have loved her for nearly all of my life. Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your remarkable mother, grandmother, and sister.

Jonathan, Caroline, Jean & Tim,
I am truly sorry to hear of your mom's passing.  She always put the love and interest of her children, (and lots of us too!) at the forefront.  I recall her tireless hours of helping do so many things at Northbrook and TAR.  What a blessing she has been to you all, and so many of us too.  Deepest condolences to you all.

What great memories of all the great years spent at Northbrook with all the Watson family.  Can still see her smiling face whenever there was anything happening.  She has left the Rohrbach family with much sadness at her passing.

I write with sincere gratitude to honor the memory of the wonderful teacher who embraced my son as he entered the first grade at A.B. Combs Elementary School in 1982.  Mrs. Watson nurtured this young child, who made his way around the school in a tiny motorized wheelchair, in a caring and firm way.  She always insisted that he complete an assigned task, although it took him longer than most of his classmates.  She instilled in him a desire to excel and he did!  After graduation from UNC-Chapel Hill (in four years, I might add), Jason now works with the state….and continues to always be careful to complete every task!  We have never stopped being thankful for the values that Mrs. Watson instilled in him as his first grade teacher.  She was the best!

My sincere condolences to the Watson family.  I know her loving presence will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.  Love to you Jonathan, Caroline, Paul, Jean, Tim & Staci and all her grandchildren.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Your mother always had such a presence.  She is in many of my childhood swimming memories.  She truly was the life of the party. Dear precious Watson family,
     Whenever I think of Carolyn, I see her smiling face, and I can hear her happy laughter.  She loved all of you so much--like she loved life.  It has been a blessing for our family to have known her, Kim, and all of you over the years.  Your family has been special to ours--for your friendships, for your love, for your leadership as swimming coaches throughout the swimming community.  Thank you all, and may God keep shining His blessings on all of you.  You  are witnesses to us of the power of your parents' love and nurturing, and we will always remember your family.
