Charlie was an avid avid tennis player, "born an NC State fan", a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a treasured friend to many. His unforgettable laugh will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ann C. Goodno; daughter, Carol Long-Grummer, RN (husband Bruce); son, Charles C. Goodno, MD; granddaughters, Chelsea Armstrong (Mike), Kristen Graham (Scott); and great-grandson, Tyson Charles Graham.
Family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7-9 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue). Funeral Services, with Military Honors, will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park. A Reception in Charles' memory will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Magnolia Glen (5301 Creedmoor Road).
