She was one of the first girls i met in Raleigh. As a soldier at Ft Bragg, we would sometimes get long weekends off and a college town seemed like the perfect place to vacate the mundane "culture" of Fayetteville. 

Always had a great smile and was quick to laugh and to make jokes. 

I dated her best friend for a few years and because of that, I got to know her quite well. Every time I came to visit, I knew that Christina would be a part of the events....and it was always the best.

We stayed connected by social networks and I would bump into her from time to time when I would return to Raleigh for one thing or another. It was easy to strike up a conversation and make fun of our "crazy" youth and many of the silly things we did and many of the kooks i brought with me from Ft Bragg (whoever had a car and was willing to drive...)

I still think about her especially when certain songs come on my playlist--the ones we all danced to, the ones that were the soundtrack to our friendship.

Christina and I met in late spring 2019 through my brother Jeff and sister-in-law Kerry. We hit it off right away and spent the next 8-9 months together, seeing shows, taking hikes, visiting VERY suspect diners, laughing LOTS and just enjoying each other's company. Christina was one of those people that if she was in the room there was gonna be laughter involved. She was a spark, a fire, a light. We NEVER had a bad time. Unfortunately our relationship didn't work out and ended in Feb 2020. We didn't talk for a while until I heard the news of her cancer returning. When we first spoke she said to me, "I'm glad you called it off when you did because I wouldn't have wanted you to try to go through this with me." Those are the words of the most selfless human being I've ever encountered. Christina, I will and already do miss you terribly. You will always remain the spark, fire and light that I met in 2019. 

When I first saw Christina at the Lincoln theater dancing right in front of the stage, I had no idea she was the part of our group, I could not resist to tell her that she was the most beautiful woman there. She gave me the most precious and modest smile. I saw her few weeks or months later at The big What show in Shakori Hills and realized she has always been the part of the group. She was the most beautiful, the most humble and the most grateful person I've ever met. I love you Christina, I wish I could give you more hugs when you were said and feeling a lot of pain. You will always be in my heart 💗.

I could go on forever about how much I loved and admired Christina. She was an amazing friend and I was in awe each time I watched her deal with every devastating blow cancer threw her way. I’ll miss her fabulous sense of humor. Her brand of sarcasm was right up my alley and the first time we met I knew she was meant to be in my life. I miss her so much already and hate that she was taken from us entirely too soon. My love and sympathy go out to her family and friends and all of us who are missing her beautiful glow. I promise she will never be forgotten.

I met Christina in high school and we were best friends throughout college and our early 20’s. I moved away to CA and later many other places, but we kept in touch throughout our lives. She came to see me when I was very sick in 2009, and after I recovered we shared a few dinners, etc. catching up. She contacted me in FL when she was diagnosed with cancer the first time, and later when it reoccurred. Christina always seemed to have a hard life at pretty much all stages, and joked that she was going to write a book called, “And You Think Your Life Sucks?”.  She always found the humor in all situations. We shared so many memories together in our younger years- double dating to the prom, my college graduation, the Peach bowl, New Years Eves, holidays, birthdays, etc.. I wish there had been more time spent in our later years. She was probably the best friend that I’ve ever had throughout my life as a whole. I will miss her greatly. Her service and celebration of life yesterday was beautiful and exactly what she would have wanted.  RIP, finally, my dear friend. 

I've known Christina for 30+ years. She was one of the first girls i met in Raleigh when me and some of my Army friends would come up for the weekend. I dated her best friend for a long time, so I always saw Christina when i visited. 

We spent lots of time on the dancefloor at Barry's and later the 5-0, sweating it all out to the soundtrack of our early lives--Smiths, Stone Roses, the Cure...other times were spent chasing Dillon Fence around the state including every Frat house at NCSU, UNC or ECU, the Brewery, Cat's Cradle, The Attic, et al. We also went to the inaugural Lollapalooza together...that was a great day/night.

She had a great sense of humor and i always remember her laughing & smiling. 

I saw her some years ago at The Berkeley for a Barry's/5-0 reunion and we talked a bit about those "golden years". sadly, the distance kept us apart and i was unable to see her beautiful smile in person.

we kept in touch via Social Networks and i was encouraged by here resilience and her will to fight what is a nasty disease...not long ago, she let me know she had hoped much of the badness was behind her. 

then, as it is in most cases, it returned. now, here we are. 

i am saddened that my friends continue to be affected by this miserable Cancer. i cannot understand how we can fly to Mars but cannot "fix" humankind to the point where things like this continue to happen. 

i will make a playlist in her honor. music is forever. so are memories: i will remember dancing, without worry...everyone with smiles. RIP, lovely.

I’m sad for u and Scott. I can remember like it was yesterday when Christina would come into the shop Saturday mornings to be receptionist and she always said it was an easy job to get but a hard one to get rid of cause you owned the shop bob. We always laughed. My thoughts are with u. Really. I pray in my own way 

We met Christina at Shakori Hills a few years ago, and were fortunate to get to camp with her several times, and to share our camper with her when her tent failed to keep her dry.  To know Christina is to love her.  We will miss her bubbly personality, her infectious laughter and her witty humor.  We are so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul.   We are praying for comfort and peace for Christina’s family and wonderful support group.

I am holding  Christina’s family & all those who loved her close. 

I’m so grateful for all of Christina’s support when I was diagnosed with breast cancer last December. I was texting her asking for help understanding all the terms.  She was going into her own medical  appointment at the time.  Of course she still took the time to respond. She even offered to go to doctor visits  me. 

I have re-read so many of her messages. I appreciate all of the advice she gave. I know I’ll continue to benefit from all that she shared. I hope I can help advocate for breast cancer research & funding in her honor. 

Such a special person. 

Christina and I met through mutual friends due to our love of music.  Always smiling, beautiful inside and out, and always kind to everyone were my first impressions of her.  Not long after meeting her, I found out she was also a warrior, with a strength  in her soul and spine as a result of her battle with triple negative breast cancer.  My mother was a breast cancer survivor so I know the fight that is needed to beat that illness.  My mother passed just over three years ago due to Stage 4 lung cancer that also metastasized into her liver.  My mom was a warrior, too,  and Christina always reminded me of her with her determination to beat cancer as well as her wanting others to become educated about preventing this terrible disease.  I hope Christina is now reunited with her Mom and I hope her family realizes how many people Christina touched and inspired.  

Immediately when I met Christina I knew we were going to be friends. I instantly loved her kindness and the sparkle behind her eyes.  We could talk for hours about endless topics and the state of the world.  She inspired me in so many ways but her passion for patient advocacy and awareness will be the one I will  try to most incorporate into my life's actions moving forward.  She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace Christina.  We love you.  

I got acquainted with Christina through a Triple Negative Support group we both belonged to.  We kept in touch as we both battled this disease around the same time.  We supported each other emotionally and talked about our treatment options .  I was so saddened to hear she passed away.  Prayers to her family and friends and her sweet Daddy she adored. 

I am a family friend from Christina's early years growing up in New Rochelle, NY. Christina, her brother Scott, my sister and I went to the same elementary school, rode the school bus together and were close friends out of school. We hung out together - a lot. Our parents were best friends. I will always, always remember her as this beautiful spirit, and an adorable little girl. We were all protective of one another. While we lost touch as some do when you grow up, move out of state, get married, etc. Christina, Scott and Uncle Bob always remained in my heart. More recently, we had reconnected again as families and I'm so grateful that we did. In reading some of these memories and condolences, it is very clear that Christina left an indelible mark on those she cherished and some that she seemingly had no  idea of her own impact upon them. I know that Christina is at peace and reunited with her mother.  A small comfort maybe, to those left behind.  Sending a huge embrace to Uncle Bob and to Scott xox   (DeeDee Fried)

I am so saddened to hear of Christina's passing, and hoping and praying for comfort and healing for her family.  Christina and I met over a decade ago, becoming friends through our mutual love of music.  We shared many happy times seeing the music that brought us so much joy.  
 Unbeknownst to Christina, her words and offering of support during the difficult time when I lost my mother to cancer a little over 3 years ago meant more than she will ever know.  She is a symbol of courage and strength, and we can all strive to live the way she did. Sending lots of love to her family and friends.

Maranda and I are deeply saddened by the passing of such a beautiful soul as Christina. Never saw this fantastic lady without a smile or a laugh even in the toughest of times. We want the Family to know they're in our Prayers and please know:
