Dr. David "Dutch" W. Seifert Jr.

Dutch was predeceased by his wife, Flora McDonald Seifert and his daughter, Ann Whedon. Dutch is survived by his two daughters, Flora Stewart (Robert Stewart),Caroline Hunt (George Hunt); six grandchildren, Carolann Mazzoni, Elizabeth Evers, Parker Whedon Jr, Carolyn Byrnes, David Hunt, Martha Hunt; and two great grandchildren.

Dutch was in the class of 1941 at NCSU. He started dental school at UNC and completed his studies at Emory University. He became a dentist and an oral surgeon. Dutch was president of Raleigh Dental Society, president of Fourth Dental Society, vice president of NC Dental Society and was a Fellow of American College of Dentists. He was board of directors with the Coca Cola Bottling Works in New Hampshire, Dover Delaware, and Henderson NC. Dutch was in US Army, 2nd Lt. and Navy, Lt Jg. He was president and charter member of Raleigh Toastmasters club. Dutch was a strong supporter and vestryman of The Church of the Good Shepherd. He spent his last two years at Rosewood Retirement Center in Raleigh and was very fond of the loving staff members.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 16, at The Church of the Good Shepherd with a visitation prior to service in church on 125 Hillsborough Street. The burial will proceed at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Liberty Hospice of Raleigh will be appreciated.
