Dylan Joseph Edwards

Dylan Joseph Edwards, beloved son, brother, and friend passed away from this life too young on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 32. He was born on January 21, 1992, to parents Betsy and Bill Edwards.

He was a devoted and caring brother of Billy, and a cherished grandson of Shirley Edwards. Dylan is survived by his parents Bill and Betsy Edwards, his brother Billy Edwards, and many more, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and friends. He is preceded in death by his cousin, Kristy Edwards, grandmother Cathleen Hinton, and Grandfather Bill Edwards.

After graduating from Leesville High School Dylan attended East Carolina University. Dylan grew up in Raleigh, NC except for a brief period of time during his impressionable years, his family lived in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where he became a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Dylan loved all sports as both a participant and a fan. He was a student athlete and captain of his football and wrestling teams. He also loved playing recreational basketball and baseball. Most of all he loved snowboarding with his brother, Billy. Dylan loved his family pets with compassion, always greeting them with hugs and kisses and a complete therapeutic rubdown. He loved spending time with his family and friends at the lake, jet skiing, fishing, and snorkeling for treasure. You could always find Dylan laughing out loud watching his favorite comedies or relaxing to Southern Rock Barbeque music.

Dylan touched so many lives with his caring nature, kindness, and warmth. He had carved an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him with his friendly demeanor and generosity. All those who experienced his love and warmth will forever feel his absence.

A celebration of life service for Dylan will be held on Sunday, March 24th at 2pm in the chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's St. Raleigh, NC. A reception and time of visitation will follow the service from approximately 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm, also at Brown-Wynne.
