
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 99 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC on Wednesday, October 2, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will follow the service.
Mrs. Williams attended Woman’s College, now U.N.C.G., and worked for the NC Prison and Highway Departments before retiring to be a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Raleigh, where she met and married her late husband, Roy B. Williams. She was a charter member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. In their retirement years, she and her husband led many tour groups to U.S. destinations, Canada, and Europe.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her sister Ann Reisner of Salisbury, NC, and her grandson Michael Williams of Charlotte, NC.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her children: Royce Kimbrough and husband William of Cornelius, NC; Jerry Williams and wife Linda of Wake Forest, NC; and Mark Williams and wife Dianne of Wake Forest, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren Alan Williams of Columbia, MD; Sarah Williams of Raleigh NC; granddaughter-in-law Elise Williams and great-grandchildren Natalie and Benjamin Williams of North Attleborough, MA; four step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Hospice of Wake County staff as well as many special people at Abbotswood of Raleigh and Carolina House of Wake Forest who took loving care of Mrs. Williams.
