Effie Jones Bunn, 94, passed away on September 1, 2017 in the comfort of her home. Born on January 27, 1923 in Wayne County; she was the daughter of the late George and Estelle Sasser Jones and wife of the late Marvin Bunn.
Effie was known as a true southern lady, a talented seamstress with Royals Reweaving and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter: Faye Bunn Stevens, of Raleigh; grandsons: Scott (Joi) Stevens, of Apex and Chris Stevens, of Raleigh; and by her sister: Pauline Thompson, of Raleigh.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5th from 10-11 am at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue), with funeral services to be held at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
Deep appreciation is expressed by the family for the warm and loving care of Effie by her Doctors - Todd Helton, Richard Gillespie, George Adams and John Woodall.
