Elsie M. Beisel Wertz

Elsie was born in Germany and came to Long Island, NY, at the young age of 4 years old. She met and married the love of her life, Earl Wertz, at the USO in Long Island. They raised their family in East Meadow, NY and later moved to Florida in 1988. She was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, in New York, as well as Trinty Lutheran Church while living in Kissimmee, FL. Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: daughter Nancy Witkowski and her husband Joseph, son E. Gary Wertz and his wife Janet, daughter Debbie Porpora and her husband Michael and step-daughter Barbara Cochran and husband Jack. She will be missed by her grandchildren- Christi, Keith, Jason, Remi, Jack and Ann, as well as 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Earl Luther Wertz, her brother George Beisel and her sister Linda Lynster.

Memorial services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church in East Meadow, NY on March 18 at 4:00 p.m. Inurnment is scheduled at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
