Eugene Kincaid “EK” Howard, III, died suddenly while enjoying his daily walk on Tuesday at the age of 75. He was the only child of EK Howard, II and Hazel Shipp Howard. A Tar Heel through and through, he was born in Oxford, grew up in Lumberton, and lived his later years in Raleigh, NC. He was a graduate of Lumberton High School and UNC Chapel Hill. EK served his country in the US Air Force.
A retired insulation salesman, EK enjoyed gourmet food, travel, the Democratic Party and his beloved UNC Tar Heels. He is survived by his loving companion Linda Pressley and many cousins. EK was a member of Christ Episcopal Church where he felt welcome and appreciated.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11:00 am at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 E. Edenton Street, Raleigh, NC.
