Felicia Rudolph Kadis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She is survived by her two children, Randi Williams (Mitchell) and Jonathon (Lisa). She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Savannah and Ross Williams, along with Alexandra, Madison, and Owen Kadis. Her loved ones will carry on her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Felicia was born in Forest Hills, New York, on December 19, 1939, to Joseph and Freida (Fritzi) Rudolph. She was the youngest of three girls and attended the Birch Wathen School.
Felicia met Harold while he was visiting his brother, Bobby, at the University of Pennsylvania. At that time, Harold was on active duty in the United States Navy as a division and communications officer on an aircraft carrier. As luck would have it, Harold’s naval carrier was stationed in Felicia’s hometown, New York City. On January 25, 1958, they were married and shared over 64 beautiful years together.
After Harold completed his military service, Felicia returned to Goldsboro, NC, to start a family. Fashion was one of her greatest passions. She launched two successful clothing stores: Mad Rags and The French Connection. Felicia loved reading fashion and lifestyle magazines and enjoyed visiting New York as a retail buyer for her clothing stores. Her impeccable sense of style was reflected in her daily appearance.
Felicia enjoyed reading historical fiction and caring for animals, especially her dogs, Macho 1 and Macho 2. She supported the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). In her memory, the family requests that donations be made to the SPCA (https://spcawake.org).
Felicia was laid to rest on January 23rd in the Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery.
Brown-Wynne, 300 Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh, is serving the Kadis family.
