Henry "Hank" Nesbit Martin, Jr. died on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. He was 69.
Mr. Martin was the son of Henry Nesbit Martin, Sr. and Anne Walker Martin, who preceded him in death.
Born in Auburn, AL, Hank lived most of his life in Raleigh, attending Cardinal Gibbons High School, where he played basketball, and Oak Hill Military Academy. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He studied at Wilmington College and worked in furniture sales for most of his life, including owning Furniture Connections. He enjoyed his family, beach music, and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two sons, Brian and Chad; daughter-in-law, Meredith; grandson, Walker; and his sister Tira Knispel and two brothers, Jim Martin and Bill Martin.
He will be laid to rest at a private graveside service. Family will informally welcome visitors at the Fallon Center at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Overbrook Drive in Raleigh, Saturday October 10th from 10:00am until noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Hank was an amazing father, grandfather, and husband. He will be in our hearts always.
