John was born May 6, 1956 in Easton Pennsylvania where he lived for 58 years before relocating to Raleigh with family. A graduate of Easton HS he worked as a manager for Opdykes Truck Sales and Service. He enjoyed woodworking and model building throughout his years.
He is survived by parents Carolynn and John Gornick Jr, sister Jane Paul and husband Mark, sister Joan Sciascia and her husband Jerry. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews Douglas and wife Melissa Kessler, niece Elizabeth and husband Cameron Blackman, with son Hudson, nephew Kevin Sciascia. Proceeded in death sister Diane Lynn Rollins of SC and nephew Farrald Lee III of PA
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
