She worked as an artist producing home décor and later owning and managing Attractions, a full service beauty salon.

To know her is to love her, or may be a little scared. Her wit and sass were unmatched. The Queen of Christmas as her house was known as the Christmas house in Rougemont, a true legend in Durham as she was the owner of 5 star salon - Attractions, a true lover of Diamonds and glitz – her taste in jewelry was impeccable, and last but not least the keeper of a real living secret garden as her yard was a picture from Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
Our hearts are heavy and sad but we rejoice in knowing her body is at rest and restored in the arms of Jesus. May those who knew her think of her every time they see a glitzy Christmas Tree, a shiny big Diamond, a well tended flower bed, or when you see someone with an awful spray tan (if you know you know - her spray tans legit slayed)! Please lift our entire family up in your prayers as we navigate life without her.
The family would like to thank Ambria Tolliver, her Duke Homecare and Hospice nurse, for the excellent care and compassion she showed our loved one in her final days.
Family and friends were invited to attend a Funeral service at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church located at 4109 Guess Rd, Durham NC on Monday February 17. Interment followed at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh NC 27612.
