Julia Fleming Pugh, 87, of Springmoor Retirement Community in Raleigh, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 8, 2012. She was the daughter of the late William Ezra and Flora Amanda Fleming of Fuquay Springs, N.C.
She was an active member of Church of the Good Shepherd of Raleigh serving in several capacities including singing in the choir and helping to prepare the church newsletter. She attended and graduated Meredith College and retired from the State of North Carolina.
She is survived by son Bill and wife Kris, grandsons Justin and Cameron of Fuquay-Varina; and son Ben and wife Kim, granddaughter Courtney of Garner.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Skinner Pugh; brothers Robert James, William, Wilton and sister Rachel.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 9 from 6-8 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street.
The service will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel Friday, Feb. 10 at 11:00 AM at Montlawn Memorial Park.
