Born on February 15, 1933, in Ancram, he was the son of Edna (Bathrick) and Clay Louck. Ken served in the United States Air Force. After his service, he embarked on a successful career as a technician with IBM in Kingston, New York, where he devoted 36 years and was respected for his skill, reliability, and quiet dedication.
In July 1958, Ken married his beloved wife, Dolores A. Miller, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ancram. Their marriage spanned 68 years, during which they created countless memories and shared an unwavering commitment to each other and their family.
Ken loved being outdoors and took great pride in maintaining the 40 acres surrounding his Ancram home, as well as serving as an officer of the Ancram Landowners Association. He also had a passion for deer hunting, especially with his son, Kevin. Additionally, Ken was an avid horse racing fan and often took the family to Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga to enjoy a day at the races.
Ken treasured time with his family and could never pass up a diner for his favorite meal, chopped steak and mashed potatoes. His steady presence, gentle humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
For the past ten years, Ken and his wife resided in Raleigh, North Carolina, and he cherished the time he spent with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dolores A. (Miller) Louck; his son, Kevin (Elizabeth) Louck; his daughter, Karen (Christopher) Smith; and his grandson, Carter Smith.
