Later, she launched into evangelism in the nursing homes and correctional systems, as a Chaplain and Counselor in the Raleigh area.
In 1982, Mother Glenn opened the Rainbow House on Person Street, Raleigh,NC. This house was a help to imprisoned women in transition to the free world. By supplying room and board and job placement so that they could care for themselves. They were taught a skill and craft through such training programs as upholstery. This was made possible when she opened Rainbow Upholstery on N. West St., Raleigh in 1985. This business is a thriving and successful addition to the community today! In August 2004, the vision extended to an outreach to help the homeless and hungry through ( GUILD ) Gifts United in Love Divine, 911 N. West Street, Raleigh, NC. Each week a home cooked meal was served. Mother Glenn also ministers the Word of God and prayer that lives will be changed. Later on the vision is to be able to house homeless women and their children. Mother Glenn is a matriarch to her family and many others. We will miss her smile and sense of humor to make others laugh. The love of family and home cooking she used to bring us all together. Her effortless outreach to keep in touch with all she knew.
May the work she has done speak for her. To God be the glory!!! for the things he has done.
