Lynwood was born on April 27,1947, in Kinston, NC to the late Ira and Beatrice Andrews. He earned his certification of training in the 4th Mobile Communication Combat Survival School and his Diploma in Advance Schools, Inc in Mobile Engine Service and Vehicle Maintenance. He worked as an Electronic Technician at Zapi Inc.
Lynwood, as we all will remember him as “Lee,” was a well-loved person and had a heart of gold. Two of his favorite topics to talk about were muscle cars and NASCAR. His passion for cars showed over the years in his collection of memorabilia, including model cars, tee shirts and hats.
Lee was one of the most caring individuals you would have ever met. Anytime he would visit someone, he made sure to carry a desert or dish of some kind. Words cannot express how much he will forever be missed. He touched the hearts and lives of so many.
Lynwood is survived by his daughter, Lezer Renee Edmundson, son-in-law, William Scott Edmundson and his aunt, Ruth Blackwell.
In addition to his parents, Lynwood was preceded in death by his wife, Tezer Kahraman Andrews, and his sister, Sherry Lynn Joles.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park. Burial followed on the cemetery grounds.
