

Margie Ann Stiver, 84, passed away on March 4, 2016 at Laurels of Forest Glen in Garner. Born on December 7, 1931 in Butler County, Ohio; she was the daughter of the late Walter Creech and Etta Helen Lainhard Creech and wife of the late John William Stiver.
Margie graduated from Camden High School in Ohio and retired from IBM as an assembler, being the first woman to work on the robotic arm and the grocery store scanners. She and John were avid bowlers on the IBM Watson League.
She is survived by her son, John W. Stiver, Jr. and wife Kathi Stiver of Raleigh; her daughter, Brenda J. Stiver of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Christopher C. Stiver, Dakota A. Stiver, Chloe Pearce, and Phillip Batchelor; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Landon, and Gabrielle Pearce and Gracie Batchelor; siblings: Betty Nadeau, of Eaton, OH and Ronald Creech and wife Shirley, of CA; and by her faithful companion, Bella the Chihuahua.
She was also preceded in death by siblings: Billy Creech, Don Creech and Josephine Ward.
Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-9 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue). Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, with a reception back at the funeral home.
