Mary Elwood Currin

She graduated from Wilton High School in Granville County and Louisburg College. Mary was a lifelong member of Banks United Methodist Church in Granville County, and attended First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh for more than 30 years.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her three brothers, Aaron, Ralph and Thomas Currin; and a sister, Josephine Wood.

She is survived by her beloved sister, Ethel C. Stephenson of Raleigh; and several wonderful nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 17th at 2:30pm at First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh in Memorial Hall. Burial will be held following the service between 4:30pm and 5:00pm at Banks United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Banks United Methodist Church, 2632 NC Highway 96, Franklinton, NC 27525, or to First Presbyterian Church, 120 West Hargett St. Raleigh, NC 27601.
