She was born on February 19, 1937 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Lewis McCool & Hazel Simpson McCool. She grew up in Independence, KS, where she graduated from the Independence Bible College in 1955. She lived in Springdale, Arkansas from 1960 - 2023, then moved in with her son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Lisa Tranbarger of Raleigh, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 yrs, Quince Singleton; her brother, John McCool; sisters: Geraldine Haynie, Bertha Linton and Louise Shaw, and her son, Greg Tranbarger.
She is survived by her sister Betty and brother-in-law, Phil Phelps, of Independence, KS; her son Dwayne Tranbarger and daughter-in-law, Lisa Tranbarger, of Raleigh, NC; grandsons, Cameron and Mason Tranbarger and great-grandson, Winston Tranbarger, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary's ashes will be interred at Elm Springs Cemetery in Elm Springs, Arkansas next to her husband Quince Singleton at a later date and time to be announced.
