My deep condolences to my brother and his family on the passing of Megan.... Megan was a ray of sunshine.. May she rest in eternal peace. I love you Megan and will miss you dearly.  I know it's been many years since I last saw you but know that your Aunt Jenny loved you and knew you would do great things and go far in life. Say hi to Grandma and grandpa for me..

I met Megan through a bible study at The Summit. Her light and passion for Christ was undeniable.  I have been sharing the story of her devotion to the Lord with any and everyone I can. I learned so much from her and am so thankful to have met her. Sending prayers and condolences to all of you.

There is not a day that goes by, that I don’t think of your daughter in whom
I had just had the honor of seeing on that day 10/25. I can remember her tenacity running along side her and her beauty as she ran! In every runner out there that day, she will remain in our hearts! I cried so much just now to read that she was a believer and is now at the feet of Jesus.

Dear Brian and Joan-we are members of Christ the King in Abingdon and remember well seeing Megan accompany the children for their liturgy of the Word. Megan was a good friend throughout all of high school. We had a great majority of classes together and spent many evenings on FaceTime together studying or doing homework. Some of my favorite memories with Megan are from chorus (especially freshman year). We went on the Disney trip together and had a blast. We roomed together on that trip. I found some pictures of Megan from the park where she just looks so happy. I remember she had just recently been diagnosed with celiac and I got her a gluten free brownie in Disney so she would not feel left out. We also had gym together freshman year and spent a lot of time together in that class. She was competitive in most everything she did (in the best way). We also had amazing memories in Spanish class together throughout high school and took our biliteracy exams with a few others that year. There were several of us who achieved a biliteracy seal on our diplomas ( we were a great group of kids who pushed each other). The picture above was taken in one of our math classes we had together. I believe it was either statistics or pre-calculus. There were times I would zone out in there and Megan would make sure to snap me out of it. She was a good role model and an encouraging friend. I really feel that she wanted the best for her friends. She always shared her snacks with me and motivated me to be healthier. She really was the epitome of health. I really regret not keeping up with her as much after high school. We both went our separate ways in different states. I will never forget the friend she was to me though. Her faith did inspire me. I can even remember at a sleepover at our friends house, she brought her rosaries and said her prayers. She is in a much better place than we can even begin to imagine.

I am so sorry and I want you to know that you and all the family are in my prayers.

I feel blessed and privileged to have worked so closely with Megan as her friend, mentor and manager. It is really  rare to come across someone so young who demonstrates such amazing professional ethics and is talented way beyond her years. She could handle any challenge and she could do that with so much grace, confidence and positivity. I always thought Megan would become a CXO at some point in her career and then call me one day to cherish the crazy memories of the program we pulled together. She was not just  passionate about her work but also cared about the team and everyone she worked with. She was a glue that held everyone together. I miss you so much every single day,  Megan. It hurts a lot to not see you on zoom and not hear your soothing voice and not see your smiling face. Knowing Megan is a blessing, I miss you so much my rockstar!

Dear Joan & Brian:
I am so sorry to hear about Megan's passing.  I will forever remember her bringing me tulips on my birthday.  She walked into the house with such pride and joy as she carried them to the counter.  

I am honored that our paths crossed and that I got to be her Confirmation sponsor.  

We are praying for you and for all the many people who love her so.  Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon her.

My and my family's hearts go out to her loved ones. Megan was such a smart and good hearted person.  We need more of her in the world.

I was so excited to gain a big sister when Patrick and Megan got married. She really fit right in. Until we meet again, we will be living in awe of her faith ❤️

I had the privilege of working with Megan for a short time starting in September, and even in that brief window, her intelligence, warmth, gregariousness, and radiance left a lasting impression. She carried her faith as she guided and supported others with rare steadiness, quiet excellence, and grace. As a parent of young adults myself, she reinforced my belief in the strength and promise of her generation. Please know that Megan’s light was felt far beyond her immediate circle, she was more than a talented professional; I see that she was a bright soul whose presence made workdays lighter and hearts fuller. I am extending my deepest condolences for your loss.

Megan was always such a fun and fierce friend. I cannot count the goofy times that we shared as kids. Megan was a continuous light to me and those around her. 

She was an amazing classmate (her tutoring is the reason I stood a chance in several classes), sleepover buddy, and teammate. 

She was someone that pushed me to be better, because she was always exceptional at everything she did.  

It was truly an honor to have shared so many wonderful memories with Megan.

I am heartbroken for everyone that knew her! I met her for the first time at the Summit Church Women’s Conference (pictured), and I was instantly struck by her radiant faith. I’ve never met anyone whose love for Jesus shined so brightly, it was truly inspiring. She was beautiful inside and out and I feel so blessed to have known her, even for a short time. Her light and faith left an impression on my heart that I’ll never forget.

I am so heartbroken for the loss of Megan. I had the pleasure of teaching her in middle school. She was always kind, caring , hard working , disciplined and a wonderful encourager. She grew into a beautiful accomplished young lady. Heaven gained a sweet angel. My prayers are with her family and friends.

As Patrick’s uncle, I am so saddened by Megan’s passing.  She really brightened up the space around her.  You were blessed to have her as your wife.  Rest assured that she is in glory.  “In Thy presence is fullness of joy”

It was a privilege to know Megan, and a great honor to witness her wedding day. Joy radiated from her and infected everyone. She had a genuine spark most can only dream of channeling. There is no doubt dancing with the angels. 🩵

My heart is broken. To know Megan was to love her. She showed God’s love in everything she did and brought so much joy to everyone around her. From lifeguarding at Glenrochie, to all the hours we spent training together at LASO, and holding the 200 medley relay record at Abingdon High School, she was always someone I always looked up to. I’m praying for her family and everyone who loved her. I’ll carry her light with me through my last college swim season and the rest of my life. Heaven gained the sweetest soul💙

I had the privilege of briefly crossing paths with Megan - as we both worked at The Weight Club and I am also friend’s with Patrick. I send all of my condolences and well wishes to you all. She was an ambitious soul, but in all ways her kindness came first. A remarkably intelligent person who will be missed

My heart is absolutely breaking to hear the passing of this beautiful young lady. I came to do Megan as I was her manager at the Glenrochie country club Pool where she worked during her time in Abingdon Virginia. She always had a beautiful bright smile on her face and was a very hard worker and attentive life guard for many children and adult adults. Megan was so very smart and was excited to go to Virginia Tech to further her education I came to know her personally as we would sit when it wasn’t busy and discuss the things going on in her life. I have kept in touch with her since she went to college and was so excited for her when she got engaged.  She told me how very much she loved this young man and how they had met in college and later fell in love. She made the most beautiful bride and happiness was written all over her face and every photo.  
I knew by working with her that she was a Christian and love the Lord and I take solace in the fact that she and I will see each other again. My sympathies go out to each of you on this life that was too short but beautiful for as long as we had her
