Neal is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edna Stephen Caliendo; his sons, John Caliendo, and his wife, Kate, and Neal R. Caliendo, Jr., and his wife Berri, all of Raleigh; grandchildren, Alexander Caliendo, and his wife, Alysse, Garryd Caliendo, and his wife, Sara, Joel Caliendo, Eleanor Caliendo, Silas Caliendo, Jesse Caliendo; great grandchildren, Nolan and Carter Caliendo; sister, Janet Adler; nephews, Robert and David, and his niece, Laura.
A Memorial Service was held Friday, March 4, 2022 at Benson United Methodist Church, 4706 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC 27612. Burial followed in Raleigh Memorial Park.
