Pauline Marks Gainey, 95, of 401 Bickett Blvd Raleigh, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Polly was born December 20, 1917 in Harnett County to the late Elmon E. Marks and Mary Eva Reardon Marks. Polly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who she dearly loved.
She loved flowers and going out to eat with family and friends. Polly will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn G. Speeks; son, Edward V. Gainey and wife, Brenda; 6 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 from 1-2pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary’s St. Raleigh. A funeral service will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Services will conclude with the interment at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh.
