Peggy Rochell McLaurin

Peggy Rochell McLaurin, 75, passed away on April 7, 2021 at Brookdale of Raleigh. Born on May 21, 1945 in Vance County; she was the daughter of the late George Clarence Anstead and Katherine Journigan Anstead.

Peggy was known for enjoying interior design, fashion, keeping fit, and working within real estate; but most of all for the love she showed her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her three children: Ricky Patton, Steve Patton and Regina "Jeannie" Rogers and husband Vernon; by her grandchildren: Larry Pruitt, Jr. and Morgan Rochelle Pruitt; great-grandchildren: Tristen, Breonna, Dolan, and Priscilla; by her siblings: George Clarence Anstead, Jr. and wife Georgia, Ronnie Sherwood Anstead, Bonnie Marie Anstead and Sandra "Kay" Anstead Walker and husband Steve; nieces: De'Necia Williams and La'Qresha Anstead; and other family and friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother that she was especially close with, Minnie Journigan; her young son, Terry Patton; her infant granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Pruitt; and by her daughter-in-law: Kim Patton.

Family will be receiving at the home of Jeannie and Vernon Rogers in Rolesville, NC. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10th from 4-6 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue) and from 1-2 pm on Sunday. Funeral Services will begin at 2 pm on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. A recording of the service will be posted afterwards for those unable to attend on Sunday.
