Preston was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Preceded by his sons Preston Earl Hunt, Jr. and Jason Bailey Hunt. He is survived by his children, Joshua R. Hunt of Wilmington, NC; Andrea H. Rogers, and her husband Gary, of Trenton, NC; daughter-in-laws, Louri Hunt of Raleigh, NC and Allison Hunt of Costa Rica; grandchildren, Paris Hunt, Dalton Hunt (Tasha) Matthew Chenault, Mark Chenault (Lauren); Renee Osborne (Doug); great-grandchildren, Ahava Osborne, Isaac Osborne, Jason Chenault.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Wagnon. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors beginning at 12:30 pm prior to the service.
