Rita R. Shipley

Rita R. Shipley, 59, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 14, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland. Rita was an office administrator at Raleigh Memorial Park for over 10 years. She loved the beach and collecting anything with dolphins, her favorite animal. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her dear grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Devoted and loving wife of 39 years, to Paul Shipley; loving mother of, Jack Melvin, Christopher Shaddam, and Brinn Michael Shipley; loving mother-in-law of, Mickie and Gabi Shipley; loving grandmother of, Jaxon Paul, Jacqueline Rose, and Inara Marie Shipley; Devoted daughter, of Melvin and Rose Seredicz, Sr. and loving sister of, Melvin Seredicz, Jr. and sister-in-law of, Kimberly Seredicz.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, on Saturday April 28, at the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 3:00-4:00 pm. Inurnment at Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum.
