Rosalie J. Whittington of Raleigh, NC passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was born in Coats, NC on October 27, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Millard Smith Whittington and Vada Turlington Whittington.
Upon graduating from Campbell University, she moved to Raleigh, NC and worked her entire career with the Federal Soil Conservation Service, serving as Personnel Director.

The family is so appreciative of her dedicated group of caretakers, who have become family to her and her niece Lynne. They loved her and were wonderful companions as she shared with them many stories of where she grew up, her interests, family and career.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Cheryl Whittington (brother Hartwell deceased) and 10 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Frances Cade (husband Fountain), brother Darwin Whittington (wife Marilyn), sister Rebecca Splawn (husband Jerry).
