Sarah Mae Coble Ingram celebrated her 89th birthday this year. Sarah grew up in Haw River, NC and was the daughter of Robert and Lillie Mae Coble. She loved working with children both as an elementary school teacher and while serving at a day care center. She was an organist at Mitchell's Grove United Methodist Church in High Point, NC and served as Choir Director for several years at Elevation United Methodist Church in Benson, NC. Sarah always loved hymns and knew all the words by heart even as she declined with Alzheimer's over the past decade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth Effird, brother David Coble and husband of 56 years Billy S. Ingram Sr.
She is survived by her sister Jean Prince and brother John Coble; her sons, Billy S. Ingram II and Robert L. Ingram (and wife Laura); three grandchildren: Matthew C. Ingram, Mariah Ingram Maclean, and Jesse R. Ingram; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Lucy.
Due to Covid 19 a Memorial Service will not be held at this time. We will plan a Memorial Service once it is safe to have a full choir singing.
