Shayne your sudden departure left a  hole in our hearts.God saw it fit and took you. We will miss you tremendously.You were a good kid, son and brother . You were smart like your name, A honorary student and athletically gifted. You made your parents proud and us.May you rest in eternal peace in Gods arms. Regina, Bono, Mali , Evan and Don, we share in your loss. May you continue to find comfort in the Lord and memories you shared.Till we meet again Shayne.

To Shayne. I Miss you already my son. You fought a good fight. You stayed positive and worked hard. I don't know how to tell all these people how you made me a proud over the years. I am Glad & grateful for the 27 years of life God gave us. Shayne you were  enthusiastic, eager to learn, easy to redirect, teachable, very positive, kind and obedient. I would always tell everyone. I never have to ask Shayne to do anything twice. Your obedience was extra ordinary. You were a well balanced student and adult both in academics,  work and sports. Shayne you loved to be independent. I'm a grown man. You would always say when ever I tried to overly assist  with anything. It was hard for me to let you grow up, let you move out of the house and have your own place.

I hope and pray someone was with you till the end. I don't understand why the end had to be so complicated and confusing. But I am not here to question God's ways. I just wish I was there too to hold your hand and reassure you that  you're going home to be with the lord. I just wish I was there too. To see them put you to rest. May your soul rest in peace. You shall always be loved &  remembered even in your absence.

Lastly, I want to Thank everyone who worked to make this day possible. I sincerely appreciate your time and sacrifices made so we can close Shayne's chapter here on earth. I apologize for not being here due to circumstances beyond my control. I believe God has allowed it to happen for a reason. Thank you all for putting up with me during this time of loss. I want to thank my sisters Apollonia and Jenny for flying from South Africa to be with me. To my 3 remaining children Mali, Evan and Donato I am sorry I couldn't make it so we can grief and comfort each other together as a family. I also want to thank those who filled that void during this time. I also want to thank the School Teachers and everyone that attend the services in person and online

Though I never had the honor of meeting Shayne, I feel the weight of this loss deeply through the love and sorrow carried by those who knew him. To know his parents is to glimpse the heart and soul he must have carried — kind, full of life, and deeply cherished.

May the Lord, in His infinite mercy, wrap His arms around the Waida family during this time of unspeakable grief. May He bring peace that surpasses all understanding and strengthen you moment by moment. I pray that every memory of Shayne becomes a light in your darkness — a reminder that love never dies, and that his spirit lives on in each of you.
