Stephanie Lynn Arehart, 41 of North Prince George, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 15, 2024. She is survived by her wife Stacey Arehart, her parents Mary Ann and Robert Bookheimer, Jr, her brother Jason Bookheimer (Sarah), her loving and cherished niece, McKayla Bookheimer, her grandfather Robert Bookheimer, Sr, her dear friends Jenni Lockley and Liz Weingarten, many loving aunts and uncles, and many devoted cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Laura Bookheimer, Rosemary Lowry and Thomas Lowry, Sr, and her Beloved cat Lewis.
Stephanie was a thoughtful lady who helped so many people with her unselfish kindness, willingness to help and warm smile. Christmas was her favorite time of year because it was a special time for her to show her generous personality delivering her baked goods and gifts to family, friends, and those in need. She enjoyed traveling, visiting butterfly gardens, trying her luck at casino slots, and collecting items that included unicorns, butterflies and Snoopy. She especially enjoyed times shared with McKayla at softball games, amusement parks and at home playing games and watching movies.
Stephanie graduated from Manchester High School in 2000 where she was a member of the Volleyball team and used her dance and musical talents to perform with the MHS Show Choir. After graduating from VCU in 2004, she was an auditor for Chesterfield County where she was awarded the Employee of the Year for Internal Audit in 2015. Most recently Stephanie was an auditor for the State of VA Department of Behavioral Health. Her colleagues were always delighted when she brightened their day with her homemade goodies.
Stephanie showed amazing courage and unbelievable perseverance in her battle with cancer.
