Death leaves a headache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

This grief continues to grow.  I miss my son.

Remembering Steven 2 years after his passing.   We look forward to honoring him this month with the annual Steven Behun award to the employee that exemplified Steven’s work ethic and “can do” attitude at HubSync.

I am staying at the Blockade Runner hotel in Wrightsville beach.   Good memories come flooding back of Steven ( age 9)and I playing  catch with a small football in the pool.   Also, of Steven and I throwing a football in the ocean to each other.  And finally of him and I going harbor~side and he caught 9 tiny fish ( first time every fishing ).  He was so excited.  Great times.  

I am saddened almost beyond words to  have recently heard of Steve's death. Steven was good friends with my son from when they were young until my son died almost three years ago.  Steven was the reason our son was able to move here to be near us, and the last two years we had with him were the best we can remember in many years.  That was Steven, a good loyal friend and compassionate. We remember well Steven visiting here at the house, we all liked him. I have some funny stories, and good memories. Many of his hobbies are so familiar to us. Our son told us about his beautiful children and how much he loved his wife and his family. We knew he had a job that he really liked, and were so glad to hear how well his family life and job were going. The tributes from so many point that out. I would like to extend my most sincere condolences to his father, and to his wife and children. May your good memories sustain you. Steven was a good man, lost too young and too soon. 

I was Steven's client for a project that was difficult, complicated and on a tight deadline. 

His gentle wit, his ability to explain complex issues in layman's terms, and his kind, gentle nature  combined to make not only  highly effective, but also genuinely fun to be with, even in trying circumstances. 

He was a true light in the world, and he will be missed.

I worked with Steven in late 2017 and early 2018 on a project in New York which I came over from England to work on.

From the moment I met him Steven made an impact on me. He always had a smile and a laid back confidence that any obstacle could be overcome. Anything would be technically possible with careful thought and consideration and he had the skills to back this up.

Steven's personality, approach and warmth were memorable and genuine. I was so sorry to hear of his passing but I am grateful to have briefly known him and to have worked with him. 

I met Steven in 2013 when we worked together at PointSource. Oddly enough, I don't recall that we ever worked on a longer term project together but we got to know each other thru random hallway conversations & we struck it off - always looked forward to spending some time with him & the funny convo's that would arise.

He had this unique, quiet intensity about him that shined thru when he spoke about things that he was passionate about - & it was always clear he thought the world of his family. He was a great guy & he will be missed - I am truly thankful to have known him.

Steven and I worked together on several clients at Globant over the last few years and I always found Steven to be a great professional and a more amazing human being. Steven brought a level of diligence, honesty and fun he brought to anything he did and was a joy to work with. He also talked a lot about his family, and how much they mean to him. Steven had an amazing ability to connect and relate to people and is a guy that would give you the shirt off his back if you asked. I have several fond memories of Steven, a few times when traveling after a client dinner we would go out and hang, talk about life, family, lots of things, and I am very honored to consider Steven a friend. We spoke a few weeks back and he was super excited about his new role. Will miss you very much my friend and my condolences to Steven's family.


Steven was one of my favorite little guys in our neighborhood when my kids were growing up in Salem Woods. He was sweet, adorable, and great to have around.  The Behun family brought joy to our lives and Steven was a big part of that.  So very sorry.  Wonderful memories that we have still. 

I worked with Steven for several years at Globant. He joined my team as the VP of Technology to run a massive and complex technology project for the largest transportation authority in the world. He was brilliant. He was a problem-solver. He was a client-whisperer. He worked around the clock and weekends to accommodate deadlines and to lead his development team which was dispersed around the globe (India, London, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, North Carolina, Chicago and New York City). He was an amazing leader, and an amazing friend and an amazing engineer. I will miss him so much and I will miss his voice of reason. Larisse, if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. I can only imagine the depth of the loss you and the kids are feeling right now.

I will always remember Steven as my friend and mentor, since the first day we started to work together he shared with me everything he knew. I was very excited about continuing working with him in his new adventure at HubSync and that is why I decided to leave my previous job, our last conversation was on Friday afternoon and he shared with me the ideas he had for HubSync. I will always remember his advice of always take the best care of my family. My prayers to his family from the deepest of my heart and soul.

I’ve known Steve since we were in grade school. Thicker than thieves growing up, and as with all things once we left high school we drifted apart but never lost contact. No matter how different our lives were, every time we talked or saw one another it was like we were in grade school again. Thoughts and prayers to his family, rest easy my friend.

Steven was one of the hardest hustling, crazy smart, pragmatic, tough, teddy bears I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. He was respectful, honest, funny, kind and wickedly quick at pointing out what mattered and what didn’t. He knew what he was worth, and fought for it, for his family and to keep making more of himself every day. He became someone special to my family, taking others under his wing to teach them, the way he taught himself. I bet on Steven 3 times, and I would’ve bet on him 3 more. I am so sorry I won’t get that chance. To  Steven’s family, please know you have a broader support network than you may even realize. I am positive Steven’s PointSource family will all be here for them, to share memories, pictures, or support in any way possible. And I say the same for my own family - my sister, husband, and cousin. Steven means something to all of us.

I remember Steven as a young child. He was always super sweet. I would go over to the Behun's house to hang out with Jacklyn, when I was a kid.  He would always greet me with a huge smile .  He had such a kind soul even as a small child. 

I've had the honor of knowing Steven since 2012 when I first starting working for a tech company in the area. Steven worked for one of my clients as their drupal developer and I was the project manager. He would work out of our office because his team was fully remote. We would constantly joke around together and I kept threatening to poach him to come work for my company. Imagine my delight when years later our paths cross again and we got to work together at Pointsource/Globant. Steven always had a smile on his face. I remember how proud of him I was when he got promoted to VP of Technology. He was always willing to work with me to find the best approach for our clients. He also knew when I was getting stressed and would find a reason to just sit in my office to chat about anything but work. I am really going to miss him. 

Steven and I worked together briefly at one company a decade ago, but re-connected at PointSource/Globant most recently. My fondest memory was being teamed up with him during a leadership training and having the long day in a windowless room go by so much faster thanks to his sense of humor. He was wicked smart and loved talking about his family. His light will be missed in this world. Thoughts and love to his family and friends. 

I knew Steven through PointSource. He was a delight to work with. Honest, direct, intense, and open. But more importantly, he brought a boy-ish delight and a wicked sense of humor with him, everywhere he went. That's what made spending time with him a joy.

My deepest condolences to his family. I can't imagine the heartbreak of loosing a father or husband at such a young age. My thoughts are with you.

I worked closely with Steven my last two years at Globant and he was one of the most honest, trustworthy and nicest guys I’d ever met. Within hours of meeting him, I had felt like we had been working together for years. I made quite a few business trips with Steven and every trip I looked forward to hanging out, as he was a really fun person to be around. I recently talked to him when he reached out about his new job and he discussed how excited he was to be starting the new role.

Most of all, Steven cherished family and talked about his wife and children often, my heart truly breaks for them. You will be dearly missed my friend, rest in peace…

Steven and I joined PointSource at the same time in 2013 and had been friends and colleagues ever since.  He was an intelligent, straightforward person, but also someone I could joke with.  I really enjoyed teasing him last year when we were in a mandatory touchy-feally class together, by presenting him with a paper snowflake "to show him how unique he was".

Steven was a technologist, and loved being able to build and deliver quality work, and didn't mind putting in the hard work to make it happen, but also was very clear that his priority was with his family, first and foremost.  He was very excited with his new job to be able to do some good in the world and build a culture based on his values.

I'm really grateful for the time I knew Steven; I always enjoyed talking to and hanging out with him.  I will miss him.

I worked with Steven side by side for almost 2 years in a very difficult project. Along other team members, we were able to pull it off. And we both were very proud about it.
We developed a friendship beyond work. Every time we would travel to NYC, we made sure we had time at least we can share a beer.
 We supported each other very much at work. When someone had and issue or was upset, the other one was ready to lend his ear and listen.  
We joke around a lot! great sense of humor, we had so many good laughters. We would make even fun of ourselves. Did not matter, always a smile & a laughter.
Our last conversation was two days before he joined the new company. Was very excited and wanted to share with me. I was so happy for him.

I first met Steven when he decided to join PointSouce the first time in 2013. Steven was a new developer; I was in sales. We happened to share an office and this is when we became work colleagues but most importantly, friends. Over the years, Steven and I would travel and work with many clients together. He was always a joy to be around and expected the best out of himself. We both recently moved on from our previous company to find new ventures. We scheduled to meet for lunch to celebrate. However, before that could happen, we ran into each other thankfully on the evening of Friday, Oct. 30th, and were able to share one last moment of celebration together. I will always cherish that our friendship continued over the years. I will truly miss you, my friend. Rest in peace.

Steven joined our company, HubSync, last month and made an immediate impact on our company and formed strong relationships with everyone on our team in a short period of time.  We are all heartbroken about losing Steven both personally and professionally.  When Steven interviewed with one of our Advisors, he told me "Steven is going to work harder than you as the CEO."  That statement proved true.  We talked constantly at all hours of the day.  Our last conversation was late Friday afternoon and he was so excited about what we were going to accomplish together in the next 60 days.  While I only knew Steven for a brief period of time, he had a profound impact on me.  He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

Steven was a friend. I made sure of it. From the time I met him, it was my goal to win him over because I thought he was "too tough" to be friends with someone like me. Turns out, he was a gentle soul and became a great friend of mine. He was good. Just a good person and his passing is unexpected and devastating but I know he would hate to be fussed over, lol. I will miss you terribly, Steven, for who you were, what you represented and the impact you made. My heart hurts for your family. 

When I joined PointSource and got to know Steven he immediately became one of the coworkers I felt most comfortable sharing my thoughts, concerns, frustrations and hopes with throughout the years.  He was a big softy especially when it came to discussing his family and his main focus in succeeding in his job was to provide for them.  Not everyone got to know  what a funny, quick-witted, smart, extremely dedicated and driven individual Steven was on a daily basis.  I was one of his biggest fans and was so excited to hear about the new opportunity he was taking on just a month ago.   I'm at a loss for words and keep hearing his infectious laugh, comical descriptive curse words and the...hey shut the door and let me describe how I feel honesty.  My prayers are with your family at this extremely difficult time.  I am so proud to have known Steven and been given insight into the man, the beard, the legend.  I miss him already.. and so wish we had the chance to get together outside the office as we often talked about fitting in with the busy family schedules.  I pray for peace and God's healing hands on everyone impacted by this monumental loss of a wonderful man. 

I got to work with Steven briefly for a project, and I'm so glad I did, because I didn't know much about him until then.  I found out he was a hard working person who cared about his work and especially about his family.   If you got a chance to know him, you would find out quickly that he was a really nice guy who had a great sense of humour and made us all laugh so much at this office call in April.  I missed seeing him around the office and he will be missed  by anyone that got to know him even briefly as I had. 

Steven was always a fun guy to work with. One of my favorite memories was when we had to plan a last minute (meaning later that day) trip and, while it was a bit stressful, we had a good laugh figuring out all of the logistics (included a stop to the mall on the way to the airport)! My thoughts and prayers are with Steven’s family and friends. Please let me know if I can help in any way. 

I worked with Steven at PointSource/Globant. I didn't work closely with him, but he was always making people laugh. He had an amazing reputation and was highly respected. I was so sad to hear the news of his passing, and I wish I could have known him more closely. I am terribly sorry for your loss and wish his Family all the best.
