Theresa Lynn Plummer

Theresa Lynn Plummer, known as Terri, passed away peacefully at home on May 6th, 2020 at the age of 66 in Wake Forest, NC. She was one of 7 children and very involved with her family. Family was everything to her and that carried until the day she passed. Her loyalty and devotion to being the best daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother were unwavering.

She was at home in the company of her daughter and son when she passed early Wednesday morning, after a three year battle with Cancer. She was preceeded in death by her husband Donald Plummer, parents Robert James Ballard, Dorothy Maureen Ballard (Sautman) and sister Maureen Martin. She is survived by her daughter Chris (Plummer)Vargas and husband Jason Vargas and granddaughter Taylor Price, son Adam Plummer and girlfriend Megan Burrows, Phyllis Ballard, Kathy and Joe Wildentaler, Mary and Ted Bayles, Mike and Kathy Ballard, Jim and Mary Ballard. She was one of seven children to Bob and Dorothy. (Phyllis Ballard, Maureen Martin, Kathy Wildenthaler, Mary Bayles, Jim Ballard, and Mike Ballard)

She was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and the Moose. Her many charitable functions and donations helped so many. She was also a teacher's assistant at Lacy Elementary for over 18 years. As a troop leader for Brownies and Girl Scouts, her true love was to embrace, empower and educate children. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, history, travel, genealogy and her family.

There will be a visitation for friends and family from 4:00-6:00pm on Monday, May 11 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC.
