Dear Sandra, Jean Phillippe, Lucienne, and extended family,
We’ve never met and you likely know nothing about me, but I know of you. Carlos was my half brother, and although I never met him in person, my half sisters Norha and Teresa told me much about him. 
I’m so very sorry for your loss and sorry that I never experienced what must have been his radiant smile and deeply warm character.  His tragic passing has undoubtedly left a huge void in your hearts and an indescribable emptiness.  From a distance, allow me to share some of your pain and deep sadness. 
May your husband and father, and my brother rest in eternal piece and in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.  My sincere condolences.

Many years ago when we met Victor,  it was very apparent he was a gentleman and erudite. That never changed. He asked if we enjoyed opera, which we heard occasionally from his open window.. nice. We learned he was a photojournalist, indicating he was well-traveled and knew a lot about many countries.  He was very concerned about the suffering of children from wars, so had a good heart. Vic was quietly remarkable, and we were enriched by knowing and talking with him. Our sympathies to his family....we'll miss him too.

We miss our friend Victor and wish everyone courage and peace during this difficult time.
