Beth Ann Johnson of Randolph, Ohio, died September 19, 2014. She is home. After 55 years of life, 35 years of which she gifted to her loving husband Bill, she closed her eyes in sleep and awoke in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Beth was met in heaven by several loved ones that had gone on before - her father and mother, William and Mildred Keyser, her dear Aunt Carrie Swain, and a sweet baby that she had never been privileged to see in this life. And she waits in heaven for the family that is left behind – husband William E. Johnson, children Amy Elizabeth Johnson and Joshua Matthew Johnson (Allison - the daughter in law she loved as her very own), grandchild Jericho Moses Johnson, sisters Cheryl Honn (Al) and Penny Shtull (Kiva), brother William Keyser (Rhonda), and her beloved nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, Grammy, sister, aunt, and friend.
Beth served others in a variety of roles - as a pastor's wife, a youth leader, a piano teacher, a seamstress, a budding author, and a banker. But most importantly, Beth loved Jesus, and served Him all her life. One of her favorite Scripture passages was Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Her prayer for all she knew and loved was that they would have that same hope for the future which she knew could only be found in Jesus... that they would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
Friends will be received Thursday, September 25, 2014, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Don Davies on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
