

She was born June 16, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Woodrow and Rose Marie (Fletcher) Hall. Betty graduated from Southeast High School in 1970. She married the love of her life, Ralph S. Coss Sr., in 1971 and has been a lifelong resident of Palmyra and Edinburg.
She was a devoted member of Palmyra Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Stars – Palmy Chapter. Betty retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital after 30 years to spend time with her grandchildren.
Betty had many hobbies including stained glass, pottery, gardening, sewing, and baking. Betty never knew a stranger and was loved by all. She was a true “Grandma” to the entire town.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her son John Adam Coss. She is survived by her beloved husband Ralph S. Coss Sr., her son Steve (Megan) Coss, her grandchildren: Stevie (Hayven) Coss, Madison Coss, Mallory Coss, and Holly Rose Coss, as well as her great-grandchildren Henley and Lottie. She will also be dearly missed by her siblings: Gene (Pat) Hall, JoAnn (Dave) Sponaugle, Mary Yoho, and Tom (Roxane) Hall, her sister-in-law Susan (Bill) Benton, along with generations of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends whom she loved like sisters.
Her wishes for cremation are being honored and she will be laid to rest in West Cemetery in Palmyra.
