Brenda Banks

She was an incredible woman of God. Her fierce love for her family & friends was a testament to her generous spirit and kind heart. Aunt Brenie was a devoted member of her church and helped teach children’s Sunday school, she was a guiding light and a source of strength for her family, always ready with a comforting word or a helping hand. She lived a life full of love, laughter & kindness. She loved God’s creation, and her favorite was flowers & birds.

She was a first-grade teacher for 32 years at Southeast. Her favorite songs were hymns from Alan Jackson, she loved pizza nights at the tiki with her family, she loved reading the Bible and mystery books. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. We find solace in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Aunt Brenie is survived by her sister-n-law, Carol Banks, her niece, Kimm Anderson, Sarah ( Doug) Edwards, nephew Loy Banks II, great nephews Dustin Edwards, Bret ( Mary) Edwards , Austin Banks, Adam ( Sammi) Banks, Cory Banks, Noah Anderson , great nieces Ashley Banks, Lilli Anderson, great-great nephew Jaxson Banks, Turner Mallett-Edwards, Aurora Banks, Uncle Keith Johns, cousins Brian White, Duane ( Beth) White & family ,Tammy (Don) Lambert & family and Scott ( Vicki) White & family all of Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Grant and Tami Banks, her brother, Loy Banks and her Aunt Juanita (Tito) Johns.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th, 2025. Calling hours 10-11am and funeral following at 11am at Grace Church of Rootstown. Inurnment at Edinburg Township Cemetery will follow. Pizza & Fellowship following burial at Grace Church of Rootstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to UH Seidman Cancer Center at UH Portage Medical Center or American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839. in her memory.
