Carolyn Mae Kline Corbett

She was born August 11, 1935, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Lawrence and Jewel (Fabish) Kline. Carolyn graduated from Ravenna High School and married her beloved Ralph Corbett. He preceded Carolyn in death on December 17, 2015.

Carolyn was proud to serve as an EMT for Palmyra Township. She was also an active member of the Palmyra Fireflies. She was an excellent cook and baker. Carolyn also enjoyed canning the harvest from the family garden. She was a talented seamstress, who was always knitting, sewing, or crocheting.

Carolyn is survived by her son Jim (Terri) Corbett, her daughters Sharon (Ron Oxier) Benedict and Jill Corbett, her sister Diane Plough, along with her sisters-in-law: Dolores Kline, Shirley (Bernard) Taylor, Donna Jean Iverson, and Joan Marie (Tom) McGinley. Carolyn’s memory will also be cherished by all of her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as her grandson Ben Benedict, brother James Kline, brother-in-law Bob Iverson, and her nephews Rich Taylor and Michael Plough.

Friends will be received Monday, November 14, 2016, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor David Ballert officiating. Interment will take place at West Cemetery in Palmyra.
